Back in September part I of The Boar Spear was posted on the Official Website as the debut of “Tales of Telara”. Today, part II has been released, entitled “Suspended Negotiations”. Here is a quick preview.

We reached Gloamwood Pines with hours of night to go. It wasn’t the bustling town from before I died. I remembered plump little cottages, not gaunt buildings with high shingled roofs sharp as daggers pointed at the overcast sky. The houses huddled in little clusters, hiding behind hillocks, as the wind blew signs and shutters into a choir of creaks and groans.

The girl and old man said goodbye at the village well. Actually, she gave a clumsy curtsey while the old man just stamped off. Moe wandered back into the woods to forage, and I took a room at the inn.

It appears that with the upgrade of Rift: Planes of Telara's website, there is a new addition to the World section called Tales of Telara.

“Telara’s stories are of Guardians and the Defiant, mighty Ascended and determined mortals — even the cultists and beasts in service to the Blood Storm have their say. What horrors are poised to spring through the rifts? What perils await the denizens of this scarred and desperate world?”

It looks like a section for short stories and other lore items. Currently there is only one entry and it’s entitled Chapter 1 of “The Boar Spear”.

Before the goblin could finish his prayer, my black arrow punched through his temple, pinning his head to a tree. Miniature skulls tumbled from his headdress like apples. His fellow goblins paused their attack on the villagers to turn and gawp. I couldn’t help but admire the shot myself.
