Parser F.A.Q. (PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING)

I have spent 45 minutes reading up on this and I have it running and working, but it is not working properly. I have the parser showing up on my screen and recording the damage I do, but I cannot find any settings or any way to show simply the DPS which is all I am interested in. Where are the options and adjustments for this?

I'm guessing you mean on the overlay.

Just right click the overlay for the options. You will see 3 radio buttons. Just tick the dps only.

Is there a way to show the parties combat results in the chat window inside of the game? I was in a party the other day and the party leader was spamming the parties combat stats. I thought maybe this parser could do that. Can you please let me know?

Ctrl+v into chat. It is automatically put there after each fight. Also hitting the copy button on on the selected encounter or session stats will put those stats in the clipboard to be pasted into chat

how do i update it? the downloaded one on the site is 1.1 while it shows that the updates run on until 1.14

If you have run the launcher you have the latest version. I don't change the version number for "hundreth place" updates, as they were happening several times per day at one point.

Just downloaded it but everytime I try to run it, it says failure to connect. How do I fix that?

Hers another silly question...where did the parser get installed? Have searcherd for it repeatedly. I had it all working, but when out of game the combat log was still showing on my desktop, so I opted to hide it. Now I cant find the Parser to put it back when in game.


edit: ok I got it back, but I had to redownload the parser. It would be really helpful to know where it is installed.

It does not install, its a java program. And it downloads to where ever your browser's default download location is, which is different for everyone.

are there still plans for adjustment of the parser to german or french combat logs?
Do you still need a german combat log for localization (after fixing the problem with the new combat log file structure)? I can't tell if it is working properly with the German client, because I just downloaded it yesterday... ;-)

Download stops at various % when running the launcher, the 1st day I installed it, it worked fine. Running windows 7 and launching the launcher as admin.

The only thing that bothers me about the parser is that when I alt tab out of the game to go to my desktop alot of the times when I go back into the game the smaller parser window is gone and I have to completely close RJ Parser then restart it to get the small window to show back up. Is there something I am doing wrong? I have tried looking at the settings to see if I do nto have something checked or not checked but I can not figure out how to make it stop doing it. It is really frustrating having to restart the parser all the time to get back the smaller window and it is wearing on me quickly. Any help would be appreciated.
