sult, I moved your thread to the Warrior general discussion. The reason for this is that the Soul Library has a very defined structure as to where posts go- separate threads are devoted to already defined builds only so that they may be rated. The general Discussion thread is where your question should go if you would like to keep it in the Library. If you would like to maintain a separate thread with the specific subject line you can also post your question in the General Discussion forum.

    Thanks!

LVL 20 Warrior needs ALOT of help

I have a warrior that is stuck at a crossroad. I have respec @ lvl 20 twice already b/c my builds based on (http://www.riftplanesoftelaraguide.n...eveling-build/) worked fine in lvs 1-17, but didn't work out very well at my current lvl. Now my talent points are (http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=1cmku.M.VhckV0b.m). The build I chose is based on a build I got from koryman 101's youtube video channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/koryman1.../2/VbNPCeiT7T8)(http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=1cmku.M.VhckV0bGzb.A). The reason I used this soul set is b/c I thought the build would be ok for me when I'm leveling. I'm sure that I could use some advise on the talent distribution and I definitely need to know which abilities to use macros for.

I know about the warrior's pulse and I have skimmed over all the sections. It is extremely well put together and very informative. However, as a total newb with very little MMO experience I have a hard time incorporating this information into my build. I have a hard time differentiating between PvE, support, and leveling. I also have a hard time understanding offensive vs defensive roles.

I'm sorry if this post has been redundant, but I really do need some guidance. I want to be the best I can be so I can end up doing raids, PvP, and world events successfully. I know that I need to get through the leveling aspect to gain an understanding of the game fundamentals. Besides I wouldn't be very useful to a raid group if I didn't get a grip on the game early on. Any advise/criticism/ is more than welcome.

For leveling you want to reduce the "downtime" or the amount of time you spend dead, drinking, or otherwise not gaining experience. To do that you need a soul which mixes defensive and offensive properties.

What I mean by that is a build that reduces the damage you take... while also increasing the damage you deal to the best possible values.

    For instance... a Reaver Builds.

Reaver is such a build as to where you can use any weapon set up you want. Either it be two-handers or a sword and shield. And I strongly recommend Reaver to any starting warrior/MMO player who wants to be a warrior end game.

    Link to build - http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0c...xhzkVfk.xhM.xx

This particular build was made with either two one-handed weapons or a two-handed weapon in mind. I recommend using a 2h. There is still 8 talent points left for you to spend anywhere you'd like. Fill out the reaver build first. put spare points into Paragon Before riftblade.

Use all the buffs in the build as you can.

Binding of Death/Binding of Affliction (depending on how many points you have in reaver)
    Storm Blade
    Focus of Strength
    Avatar of the Wind
    Crest of the Abyss

Single target macro for a 2handed user-

    #show Searing Strike
    cast Rising Waterfall
    cast Turn the Blade
    cast Flame Spear
    cast Searing Strike

Dot Macro [ Use this first on pull. The dots are well worth it. And you get self healing through Soul Sickness]

    #show Soul Sickness
    cast Infestation
    cast Soul Sickness
    cast Necrotic Wounds

AoE macro for 2+ mobs[Start the pull with your dot macro and then spam this]

    #show Blood Fever
    cast Plague Bringer
    cast Soul Sickness
    cast Blood Fever

    Finisher macro for single target-

    #show Fiery Burst
    cast Master Of the Abyss
    cast Fiery Burst

    Aoe Finisher macro-

    #show Master of the Abyss
    cast Master of the Abyss
    cast Cyclone Strike.

Use Creeping Death only when you have more then 3 mobs on you.

There ya go. a Build and macros that will make your level smoother.

The other things you asked about I'm not quite sure how to answer. Could you give me a bit more to work with?

    Answer for warriors levels 20-35

Sword and Board specs will offer the most protection and although they do gimp your damage you will be able to survive. I suggest using reaver/riftblade/BM until level 21. Then I would respec to replace BM with pally. The first thing you should do is put 8 points in pally in order to get touch of life. It will save your butt every 5 minutes. After those 8 points try something like this:

    Soul Tree Calculator: Riftblade (11) / Reaver (9) / Paladin (8) :: Rift :: ZAM

Eventually you will have to decide if you want to continue up the Riftblade tree for more damage or the Reaver tree for more protection. I would suggest 26 points in Riftblade first and in the long run fill out reaver. So at level 35 you would look something like this...

    http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0c...cMMzo.Vuob.xbo

and by level 49 you would have something like this....

    Soul Tree Calculator: Reaver (31) / Riftblade (26) / Paladin (8) :: Rift :: ZAM

Once you hit 50 there are many other options for solo builds, but since we are discussing leveling I would stick to S & B.
