v4.3 Change Log ::


General Changes:


>>> Blighted Raiment (2/4) Synergy Crystal Bonus added - as a "toggle" - for T3 "Mark of Ascension" Gear.

For the 2/4 bonus, each item in the set will receive the value of the bonus divided by 2, since 2 items are the minimum required to get the 2/4 bonus. So, for the sake of calculations, this bonus assumes you will only equip 2 items from the set. Please keep that in mind when doing calculations for different sets, e.g. toggle it -on- for only 2 items of this set, and toggle it -off- for the rest of the set.

Note 1:

The 2/4 bonus gives 30 SP and is the same for all Mage builds / Blighted Raiment Synergy Crystals.

The 4/4 bonus differs according to build and is hard to quantify. Therefore, it is left to the discretion of the player. But for the most part, the 4/4 is too good to pass, unless you have the HK Synergy Crystal of course, or the Rank 7 PVP Synergy Crystal which might be better in some cases.

As a reference, the following is the combination of armor sets that I am currently using:

v5.0 Change Log (18 Mar - 05 Apr 2012) -- RIFT Patch v1.7.14 ::


General Changes:

1. MASSIVE UPDATE to almost everything on the list, in order to match the sweeping changes in RIFT Patch v1.7. Both item stats and Notes were updated. As a result, the Mage Gear List version number got bumped to v5.0.
   
   
2. Updated many of the old T1 Dungeon items. Now includes both the "Antiquated" versions and the new updated versions.
   
   
3. Followed the new Trion naming convention regarding Content tiers. (more details in "Legend" sheet).
   
   

   RIFT 1.7 - 01/Feb/2012
   
   * Content tier adjustments to better match with the items granted:
   
   - Intro 50 content: level 50 [Normal] Dungeons, Chronicles, Rifts [Minor ?], and Zone Events.

9. Reworked the Synergy Crystal / Set Bonus section to include additional crystals.
   
   
   - Added "Nyx's Raiment Synergy Crystal" (only 3/4 bonus). Added corresponding Color Tags to all T4/T4 R Nyx items.
   
   - Added "Soothsayer's Vanquisher | Virtuoso's Conqueror Synergy Crystal".
   Normal Synergy Crystal bonus is flagged like before as (2/4) and (4/4), while the new Vanquisher | Conqueror version bonus will be flagged as (2/4 *) and (4/4 *).
   
   - Planar Conqueror's gear is now linked to the "Blighted /Mage/ Crystal".

10. Changed the source for crafted Runes to "Craft" in order to differentiate them from those that can be ready-bought from Merchants only.
    
    
11. Added a resist letter to the each Lesser Essence in their section, like [F] for Fire Resist, [W] for Water Resist, etc, for easier reference.
    
    
12. "Legend" sheet has a cleaner look, with updated info. Also added a section about recommended Water Resistance for HK. Will update this for ID later on.
    
    
13. Created a small animated image guide to the Mage Gear List! I plan on expanding this, especially if people find it useful.

14. Added a CRIT CAP Calculation Table (in "TABLE" Sheet), with automatic check marks. Enter your base Stats to the left (INT, WIS, SP and SC), then simply tick the buffs you want and you should get a good estimation of your final Stats. [Thanks WindstormSRC for the idea]
    
    
15. Added an Augment Sheet with the aim of fully updating and verifying it. [Original design: Rain's Warrior BIS List]
    
    I did this because Rain's list had some inaccurate values and was incomplete, while other websites and lists on the internet were conflicting or outdated. [Thanks Milli and Shaca]

    IMPORTANT NOTE: There is a something wrong with Augments at the moment. Values listed in my Augment List could be off. Crafted item in my Mage List could be inaccurate and are tagged in red font for now.

Hi all,

I started this Mage Gear List almost 10 months ago as a small, personal project. It eventually grew into what you see today. I had managed to maintain it for about 6 months earlier, and here it is again with another update.


Key Features:

• Comments/Notes with detailed info on item sources, drop locations and much more.
• A Mage-specific rune list under each item slot.
• A powerful Sorting feature, either by DPS/FOCUS or Pure DPS values, based on a "Stat Weight" system.
• A customizable "Stat Weight" system which you can change in seconds and customize its Sorting according to your preference.
• A Synergy Crystals/Set Bonus section with toggle buttons for dynamic Sorting.
• Color-coded Column indicators for Synergy Crystals / Set Bonuses.
• A "Legend" sheet with explanations and plenty of info and tips.
• And much more.

The Sorting Buttons:

There are two Sorting buttons which you can click:

- A Yellow Button: sorts items by their Stat values, including Focus.

- A Blue Button: sorts items by their Stat values, but excludes Focus. This is for focus-capped players.

Available Focus:

The Available Focus column is broken into: Current (Curr) and Maximum (Max). This is useful for people who swap between multiple sets of gear with different amounts of focus, depending on the content they are doing. It also useful for people who want to test different combinations of gear, while keeping track of the total focus they give.

I use the (Curr) column to track my "lower focus / higher DPS" set (which I use more often), while I use the (Max) column to keep note of my other set that has the max amount of focus.

The Weight System:

A weight system gives a relative value for each stat, in order of its importance. This helps in comparing items based on their stats.

The weight system used here serves as a good general indication. It is currently an average of 4 popular Mage builds.

If you are using a specific build exclusively and want a more customized Weight System for it, then you can either use your own values for it, or use the values included in the "Stat Weight" sheet.

To do so, you will have to download the Excel file, go to the "Stat Weight" sheet and change the Custom Weights (Orange header) to the values you want. The Sorting system will change automatically. Now, all you have to do is click the Sort buttons.

Synergy Crystal / Set Bonus:

To use this feature, simply scroll down the List until you see "Synergy Crystal / Set Bonus".

Then under Column Q, toggle on/off the Bonus of your choice. Items linked to that Bonus will change values automatically. Now, you only need to press the SORT button for the list to re-sort accordingly. By the way, you can have one or more Bonuses active at the same time.

2 IMPORTANT NOTES:

(1) The Synergy Crystal / Set Bonus feature ONLY takes into account STAT bonuses (like Endurance, Spell Power, Spell Crit, etc). It does NOT count DPS bonuses (like "Spells will deal an additional 200 damage), or any other type of bonuses.

That is why you will sometimes see a Bonus of (3/4) but no (1/4) or (4/4), for example. This usually means the (1/4) and (4/4) bonus are NOT a Stat bonus, and hence they were excluded.

(2) The values of the Synergy Crystal and Set Bonus bonuses are calculated based on the fact that the Bonus is applied only once per set. Also, the Bonuses only take into account the MINIMUM number of pieces required to get each Bonus. Keep this in mind when evaluating Set items when you have more pieces than what is required for the Bonus.

For the 2/4 bonus, each item in the set will receive the value of the bonus divided by 2, since 2 items are the minimum required to get the 2/4 bonus.

For the 3/4 bonus, each item in the set will receive the value of the bonus divided by 3, since 3 items are the minimum required to get the 3/4 bonus.

For the 4/4 bonus, each item in the set will receive the value of the bonus divided by 4, since 4 items are the minimum required to get the 4/4 bonus.

PS: The raw HP bonus for the PVP set has been converted to Endurance (1 END = 9 HP).

Hey guys (or those who still read these forums) :P

I haven't played Rift for the last month or so and my sub has run out.

I am unable to post on the official forums or check any new changes due to this, so if people are still interested in this spreadsheet, I will try to update it, but only on this forum, unless someone can host it for me.
