Need your Rift fix while off line? Well Trion Worlds has just released a new app called RIFT Mobile for the super low price of Free!
Keep your finger on the pulse of the living, breathing world of Telara with the new RIFT Mobile App. Coordinate with allies and guildmates, keep up with Zone Events, and even earn in-game loot on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
This app will allow you to talk to friends and guildies whether they’re in-game or also using the app. It even has push notifications if you’re into that! It also supports guild and officer chat, guild messages of the day, zone event notifications and the guild wall. You’ll feel like you’ve never left the game!
What I’m most interested in is something called “Lootables” which is said to be a new way to earn actual in-game loot through the app. This was obviously at the top of my list so I logged in right away to try it out! You start off with 6/6 credits, and it looks like they refresh every hour, so after I burn though these I’ll get to play some more later! Each credit can currently be used to play a scratch off type game which awards artifacts and crafting mats (and perhaps more!) to your chosen in-game character! I won one artifact tonight and when I logged into RIFT and checked my mail, sure enough my winnings were there waiting for me!
Do keep in mind that this is still just the beta version and more info will be available as they update it. RIFT Mobile is such a cool little app already I can’t wait to see what they do with it!
