Alpha was opened briefly yesterday and a lot of people got to see a ton of changes that Trion is playing with. Here are somethings that the community is reporting on:
This post will be updated as more things are reported. There are also no patch notes on Alpha currently. Also remember that all of this is subject to change at a moments notice. We’ll try to keep it updated until there are official Alpha patch notes.
Updates:
1:07pm EST 4/21/2011 – Warrior Changes
On Rogues: (Source)
Right now all sin/bd skills that were 50% ap bonus, are 100%. Backstab is much higher damage, but 6 sec cd. Serpent strike got a significant damage boost, and now 8 sec cooldown.
Marksman:
-The lower level pedestal is now 20% dmg , but the 51 pt one also says 20% so i’m not really sure what the actual values are.
-Sniper training is +15% dmg to empowered/deadeye.
-Close quarters combat is passive.
-Bullseye is not a root, and its cd is included in Rapid Extrication.
-Strafe gets an additional 20% dmg when standing on a pedestal.
-Rapid Fire Shot is completely different. It does not apply a buff, but shoots once per combo point. So 5 combo points = 5 hits.
-New Ability: Eradicate which is an offensive purge.Assassins: (Source)
This is a direct comparison of 1.1 on live to Alpha with 51 pts in Assassin and nothing in anything else wearing no gear.
SUMMARY: It appears the souls overall dps factor got a very slight increase (~1.7%) with some abilities getting an additional boost.
This is the current status, there are no patch notes yet.

Savage Strike: From 78-81 to 80-83
Puncture: From 46-49+106 over 10 sec to 47-50+108 over 10 sec
Impale: From 593 to 642
Assassinate: From 437-444 to 540-549
Jagged Strike: From 514 to 523
Foul Blow: From 468 to 476
Serpent Strike: From 200-235 ev 10 sec to 318 to 324 every 8 sec

Sentinel
Word of Hope now affects Healing Breath in addition to Healing Invocation (in the raid test gear this is about +100 healing per HB cast)
Purifier
Ward of the Ancestors cooldown reduced to 3 seconds. Also applies a debuff preventing you from casting it on the same person for 20 seconds.
Inquisitor
All armors have changed. They are:
[Armor of Awakening: Increases spell damage by 5%, spell crit by 5%, mana regen by 10% and increases damage taken by 5%.
Armor of Treachery: Increases armor by 215, endurance by 50.
Armor of Devotion: Increases Spell Power and Spell Crit by 42.]
Life and Death Concord is now 30% chance to cause your next BoD to be instant cast. Instant cast BoD now has a 10 second cooldown. This DOES NOT apply to hard casted BoD, it will remain castable until you get another L&DC proc at which point the remaining cooldown will show.

Warlord:
Generals Order is a 1 min cd and pulls a group to you, probably with a non working tauint component for the easy instant wipe

The Warrior gets additional 3% less damage, I’d guess, a word is missing: “The Warrior battle cry reduces the damage taken by all raid members by 5%, in addition to reduces they take by an additional 3%”
Aid Command increases the Warrior’s Healing Taken by 5% in addition to the 15% more outgoing heals
Rallying Command: gives 5% more health & resistances to the Warrior
Assault Command: +5% attack power, for the Warrior in addition
Call to regroup: 5% more threat in addition to the stuff it said before.
Void Knight:
Pacts are not longer consumed as a whole:Discharge: 122 + 56 per pact, 2 pacts max.
Tempest is lowered in the root to 26, 129+42 per pact, 3 pacts max
Unstable reaction is 32 root now
Fusion of Flesh moved to 38 ( ) and is: “Protects the VK for 20% of his maximum life for each pact consumed for the next 5 non-physical attacks over 30 seconds. Each non physical hit heals the VK for 20% of his maximum health. Consumes up to 5 pacts” 3 min cd.
Accord of Emptyness, 51 root – reduces p-damage by 20% and non-physical by 10%, lasta 1 hour, 10s CD
Rift shield absorbs a whooping 215 per pact – but only 5 pacts allowed
The best part; guess who’s buff furation is no longer 6 seconds? It’s over 9000! Well, no, it isn’t it’s 45 seconds now
Crafting:
There are weekly crafting quests that reward plaques and lures. Are we going to see crafting rifts?

This is with no gear on.
Currently on live my rank 3 character has 75 base valor giving 2.0%
Currently on alpha my rank 0 character has 50 base valor giving 2.0%Seeker’s Medallion (rank 3 neck) went from 25 valor to 55 valor.
Total Rank 2 Gear Valor: XXX on Live 227 on Alpha
Total Rank 3 Gear Valor: XXX on Live 259 on AlphaAdding in base values means
Rank 3: 334 on Alpha or ~13% reduction if 50 is 2%

Some other observations made:
- There is now a 5th role slot for 100 platinum.
- There appears to be a rework of the Guild UI
- There is a new planar ability called Quantum Site for 25,000 planarite. Some speculate that this for artifact hunting.
